Three-part interactive installation on body and text using creation mythology as carrier of the information. The 3 main parts include In the Beginning (there was the word); The Tower of Babel (the word becomes language); The Rosetta Stone (a key to translation). On walls: computer time line, photocopied paper pads of creation myths, international symbols line.

In the Beginning (there was the word) 
carved walnut bookstand, forged metal snake tongue, scroll-saw cut wood letters on Antique Papercraft Formica samples, galvanized bucket full of apples

Part 1 of Eternal Verities. All texts are made into bodies (sculpture); viewers invited to try an apple while participating in the installation.

The Tower of Babel

Part 2 of Eternal Verities. Viewers push a sound button to hear “It’s a Small World” or all of them to hear cacophony. Bricks holding the button labeled “push” in multiple language’ column covered in brick pattern linoleum.

The Rosetta Stone (a key to translation)

Part 3 of interactive installation. Actual size photocopy of the Rosetta Stone, painted marbled wood base; text written by viewers (ongoing changes) on slate chalkboard; ground into adjoining piece are American sign language symbols for conversation, gossip, translate, etc.
