Fossil Record
Fossil Record
2017
Fossil Record combines form and space, object and language, reading and deciphering. What do we see when we read a landscape? How is seeing different than reading? History leaves a mark, humans leave evidence. Through books, sculpture and found objects, the various parts of the installation explore place and its representation. Fossil Record is a close observation, documentation and interpretation of the landscape of County Clare, Ireland.
The Installation Fossil Record includes the following five artworks: Cloud Cairns with Cloud Handbooks, Flaggy Shore, Forces of Nature, Prototype, and Linear Thought.
Exhibition: Katherine Nash Gallery, Minneapolis MN
